A challenge of Self

During 1983  - 1985, The texbook "Karate-Do, a challenge of Self",was written by Mark Passmore Shihan.

This Textbook has subsequently become the primary training manual for for Kenseikan Karate.  Although being almost 20 years in print, this text remains current , with a diverse range of subjects. The reader is taken on a somewhat history of Kenseikan Karate-Do, commencing with basic (kihon) techniques, through basic, intermediate and advanced kata (in excess of all Shoto based kata), kobudo kata, culminating in grading syllabus up to Yondan.

Amidst all of this there are so many other sections, to list them would not do the text justice.

The name "Kenseikan" was  first used in Australia, during 1972, when given to Mark Passmore by Uchida Sensei.

"The Challenge Continues" will be available during 2004.

Karate the Japanese Way

My good friend Mark Groenewold has a 'winner' here.

This excellent publication, takes the reader through anything and everything, one might wish to know about the approach (The Japanese way), training and execution of training within a Japanese dojo.

Not to be omitted, is all relevant, information relating to a life study of Japanese Karate-Do.

Once again, to really appreciate this work, purchase is a must.
