"If you like Tai-Chi, you will love To-Te" This is the phrase that the members of our mature age classes follow. Whilst removing nothing from the concept of strong approach to karate instruction, the type of 'contact' as one would expect to find during kumite or randori, is modified to the range of members in this class.

The mention of Tai - Chi usually brings to mind a 'soft' or 'gentle' approach to training, nothing could be further from fact in these classes.

Oyo explanation                  Long form application 
The content is quite removed from the mainstream karate format. By following the Oyo only approach to this training, all of the students in this class are able to grasp quite early, the method behind 'moves' that seem complicated.
